Over the last 11 years, I have dived into the New York real estate world and worked tirelessly to make residential and commercial transactions happen. Indeed, brokering a deal is much more than just bringing a buyer and a seller together! The complexity of New York real estate, with its diverse types of properties (condos, coops, single family home, multifamily, rental buildings, commercial retails, offices, warehouses etc.), its multitude of actors (owners, sellers, developers, bankers, attorneys, architects, home inspectors, engineers, home appraisers etc.), the vastness of the territory (53 neighborhoods in Manhattan, 77 in Brooklyn), and the complexity of the intertwined cultures of its inhabitants, are all components of my job, and are what has made me passionate about doing it every day.
I am a former attorney specialized in Intellectual Property Law. Back in my “past life” in Paris, France, I worked on other types of deals, to protect and enforce the rights of the creators and owners of inventions, writing, music, designs and other creative work. I continually find use for my legal knowledge and experience in the practice of my real estate work.
Every client, every property, has a unique story. I am here to listen and understand it, and translate it into a sale or purchase strategy. We all have dreams and limitations, the city too, and we work within these parameters. And we succeed!
I have also represented and advised many investors, sourcing and underwriting multifamily assets ranging from $1 to $150M, testing loan scenarios, analyzing acquisitions based on comparable sales, debt size, and going-in-cap rate.
Lastly, I have made the choice to work at Compass as this company understands that design, technology, and marketing are fundamental for successful real estate transactions. Compass offers super efficient in-house technology tools for monitoring the market, creating comparative analysis, and offer buyers exclusive access to listings not seen anywhere else. Compass also has a contemporary approach to design and strategy with over 150 designers, strategists, and producers who all contribute creatively to building the Compass brand. The material produced is eye-catching, sophisticated and resonates with buyers and sellers.
Real estate is a fundamental part of the US and the world economy, working together, we will be a little part of it! It is an honor, and it is thrilling.
